In a new scientific study, researchers at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) have determined that oxidation inside the cell can lead to the onset and development of a large number of various tumors, linking the two phenomena together inseparably. In their experiments, the scientists used mouse models, and shut down the production of two genes involved in producing proteins that repaired damaged DNA.
The results were immediate, and the rodents developed cancerous tumors. Experts from the Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU), and the New York University School of Medicine (NYUSM) also participated in the research, which was published in a recent issue of the scientific journal DNA Repair.
They noticed that, when exposed to high levels of oxidation, the animals' genetic material suffered a lot of damage, in the form of lesions, breaks, cross-links and deletions, which occur in humans naturally as well. But, in healthy individuals, enzymes known as DNA glycosylases are produced by DNA repair genes, and these active agents simply cut the portions of the genetic material strand that have been affected or compromised by any of the aforementioned factors.
Thus, the DNA is kept in the best shape possible, and the effects of aging are reduced. Additionally, our resistance to diseases increases as well, and the medical conditions take much less toll on the strands than they would usually do. The research was most focused on the DNA repair gene NEIL1, which produces a protein with the same name.
The reason why this gene was selected is because it's almost identical in mice and humans, so it made for the perfect test target. The investigation revealed that inhibiting its action caused rapid and widespread damage to the mice's genetic material, leaving the door opened for mutations to occur. And, seeing how cancer is, in most cases, a mutation gone wrong, tumors also developed in large numbers, as a greater amount of mutations suddenly became possible.

I think we should also be concerned with all the wi-fi, wireless around us. Wireless laptops, wireless phones, wireless electronic devices. Our society have forced itself to depend on technology and now we are victims of our own obsession. The problem is that we can't really go back, we have to live we what we created. organic crib mattress
Whether or not cell phone radiation causes DNA damage or cancer is going to be subject of debate for quite some time. There are, however, simple tests that can show somewhat negative biological effects from cell phone radiation exposure. Here's a web page that shows a few :
